Obituary for Ed Curtis McHargue

Mr. Ed Curtis McHargue, 86 of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at The Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Berea. He was born at Pine Hill in Rockcastle County, KY on September 18, 1931 the son of John and Rosa Clark McHargue. He retired after 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for Codell Construction and was active in the Lions Club, the Dave Jackson Masonic Lodge in Livingston, and the Oleika Shrine Temple. He was a former mayor of Livingston, a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Deniece Waddle and husband Jerry of Shepherdsville, Dianne McFadden and husband Steve of Versailles, and Darlene Mink Worley and husband Jim of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Lloyd "Chic" McHargue of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Sarah Louise Bennington of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Brent Childress, Tonya Saunders, Jamie Waddle, Jason Waddle, and Ladonya Mink Rice; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McHargue; and two brothers, Clyde and Claude McHargue.
