Our Facilities

Dowell & Martin Funeral Home is located at 365 West Main Street In Mt. Vernon across from the First Baptist Church. We are a full service facility offering a large funeral chapel, visitation rooms, lounge, private arrangement office, selection room, covered carport and ample parking. Dowell & Martin Funeral Home is handicapped accessible.

Visitation Rooms:

Our Funeral Home is designed and decorated to project a warm and comfortable surrounding for family and friends. We have always been proud of our "Home-Like Atmosphere".

Chapel:

We offer two small chapels in order not to overwhelm a small family or gathering of people. These two smaller chapels can be opened up to provide a larger chapel with a seating capacity of 250. We also have a state of the art sound system with a large selection of music and the ability to audio or video record each service. A pianist is on staff.

Arrangement Office:

A large well appointed office for the arrangement conference and arranging of services.

Lounge:

We offer a lounge to family and visiting friends with coffee and refreshments.

Selection Room:

Our selection room offers a wide range of prices to meet the needs and wishes of each individual family.
